1. Introduction

Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a trusted provider of fire protection and safety solutions. With over 90 years of combined experience, we deliver certified, reliable, and customised services across multiple sectors, ensuring the protection of lives, property, and businesses.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales, services, consultations, installations, inspections, training, and any other activities provided by Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd. By engaging our services or purchasing our products, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.

2. Products and Certified Quality

We supply certified fire safety equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, alarms, suppression systems, signage, and related accessories.

All equipment provided is compliant with applicable standards, including:

  • KEBS (KS)

  • NFPA

  • ISO

  • BS EN

  • CE

  • UL

  • BSI Kitemark

While we guarantee the authenticity of certified equipment, product performance may depend on proper use, maintenance, and environmental conditions.

3. Services Provided

Our services may include:

  • Installation and commissioning of fire safety systems

  • Inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance

  • Fire safety audits and compliance assessments

  • Fire risk assessments

  • Fire safety training

  • Emergency response planning

  • Consultancy and system design

Service scopes will be defined in written quotations, proposals, or service contracts.

4. Quotations and Orders

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days, unless stated otherwise.

  • A contract is formed only upon written acceptance of a quotation or upon issuance of a purchase order.

  • Any changes to the scope of work must be approved in writing and may affect pricing and timelines.

5. Pricing and Payment Terms

  • Prices are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated.

  • A 50% deposit may be required before project commencement or dispatch of goods.

  • Full payment is due within 30 days of invoicing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month on outstanding balances.

  • Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd reserves the right to withhold or discontinue services until payment is received.

6. Delivery and Installation

  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to availability, government regulations, import conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Risk in products passes to the client upon delivery.

  • Installation will only proceed when the site is ready and safe as determined by our technicians.

7. Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance

  • Clients must ensure regular maintenance of fire systems as required by law and by manufacturer standards.

  • Failure to schedule timely maintenance may void warranties or compliance certifications.

  • We are not liable for system failure caused by neglect, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.

8. Training Services

Training must be booked in advance. Certificates are issued only to participants who complete the required modules. We reserve the right to reschedule training sessions when necessary.

9. Warranties

  • Equipment warranties are provided as per manufacturer guidelines.

  • Service warranties cover workmanship for a specified period described in the contract.

  • Warranties do not apply where damage results from neglect, unauthorized repairs, or environmental factors beyond our control.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from products or services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific product or service.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their premises meet building code requirements and fire safety regulations.

11. Compliance and Legal Requirements

Clients must comply with all relevant Kenyan laws, including but not limited to:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)

  • Fire Risk Reduction Rules

  • Local county fire department requirements

We provide recommendations, but final compliance responsibility rests with the client.

12. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Order cancellations must be submitted in writing.

  • Customized or specially imported items cannot be cancelled or refunded.

  • Rescheduling of services requires at least 48 hours notice.

13. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information exchanged during the engagement unless required by law.

14. Intellectual Property

All materials, designs, reports, training content, and proposals remain the intellectual property of Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd and may not be reproduced or shared without written consent.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.

16. Amendments

Fireline Safety Kenya Ltd reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The latest version will be communicated or made available upon request.
